A Fool’s Paradise

”The scars of war. Yearning to end lives. The smell of innards. Cries of the cowardly. Was that all supposed to be traumatic? Is there something wrong with me? Surely not… ‘Follow your dreams!’ they always say. Now that I did, they’re asking, ‘How bad was it?’ Nonsense. How can a dream be bad? How can something that can make you feel fulfilled can be immoral? Hypocrites, that’s what they are. My dreams being your nightmares is not my concern. You can’t stop me. None of you can’t stop me. We all live once; I will not waste my life trying to fit in. Fill your hearts with love, and let me fill mine with death. Collect memories with your loved ones, and let me collect corpses. You do you, and let me do me.”
